Lubuntu alternative sessions script

I tried to remove the compton.desktop from ~/.config/autostart but compton
is not loading when I close and open the desktop session again... Can I run
the script again?

The problem I'm having with Compton is:

It's random, in some sessions, compton loads ok, on most of them compton
starts applying transparency to lxpanel.
