Forgot to mention that I don't use UNetbootin or Startup Disk Creator
any more as the both seem to make a bit of a mess of the menus.  I just
use dd in a terminal, something like :-

dd if=lubuntu-12.10-alternate-i386.iso of=/dev/sde bs=4M;sync
