A bit of information on the Intel I8xx chip-sets and their support can

If you look up Trident or SiS on Launchpad bugs you'll see that these to 
have always been trouble and the same problems keep re-emerging.

If you want more info on the SiS chip-sets I recommend Thomas 
Winischohhofer's site http://www.winischhofer.net  He did some sterling 
work, many years back, to get a decent driver for SiS.
