Do you have specific memory requirement / performance goals?  Something
like "Lubuntu should boot in X seconds on machine Y with Z MB of RAM"?

I'm chuffed that Lubuntu 12.04 was able to get as far as it did on my
128MB box -
I was actually able to use chromium to authenticate to my neighborhood
wifi (after one restart, and about 20 minutes!).
