OTOH :) One of the things I *really* wanted to know when investigating
Lubuntu for the first time was what the "bundled apps" were.

Do we have a simple listing somewhere -- maybe even just what you get
in the main menu categories "out of the box"? In my experience, this
is a pretty basic "newbie"/beginner/outsider question.

Quite agree about not providing links, though.
