I think it will be nice having a simple access to the folder ~/.fonts (no >need for ../truetype folder access) to see them immediatly and remove them, like the "home" bookmark.
That's sort of what Windows does. When you click "Fonts" it doesn't open
an installer, it opens a folder. All you have to do is copy and paste.
