Update - argh!

Hey, slow means boring. :P

Well...I was running the last updates of the day via apt-get
dist-upgrade (sleepily, not a good idea!), and being sleepy, just hit
the yes button, without reading the huge list of "removes".

A couple of minutes later, icons started dissappearing, the 'quit'
button being the first to go. Then the pcmanfm icon, then most the
application sections under lxmenu. So I logged out, and the lxdm
(hideous, btw, unthemed and with a huge "LOGIN" background) screen
offered to log me in as various daemons, so clicked 'other' and logged
in as normal....to LXDE, not Lubuntu. Lubuntu was not an option any more.

So I drop to a tty, and do:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall lubuntu-desktop

Only "I've held broken packages". Lots of them. And I can't install any
of them, apparently they don't exist yet.

Not panicking as such, just keen to warn everybody in a false sense of
security to watch what it removes for the next few days.

Michael
