apt-get upgrade doesn't upgrade the Kernel but dist-upgrade does

I typically use Synaptic - Custom Filters - Upgradable Upstream

If a new Kernel is ready and has been released that method will add it to
your install
of that I am sure. I rarely use the Update Manager during testing because I
find it will
let you do partial upgrades.

Now, you have tweeked my interest on the apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
and new kernels.
I admit I thought you would get a new kernel with that method. I think I
will make
and install a Live-USB of the 20120423 Lubuntu Desktop and do some more
testing since the
new kernel is ready. I am going to try all different ways to get that
kernel... q;o)
Might even use dpkg and install all three necessary debs
(all-image-headers) to make sure that still works..
