Thanks for playing along, so it sounds like you are installed in VB, may or
may not make a difference, and that you didn't get the "blank window" but
you got a "You don't have permission to do this thing" error???

Not sure if I agree about U-MATE "not being snap controlled" . . . as I
only a few days before installed Chromium via console and I did report
seeing "snap" in the items to be installed . . . ????

Also, yes this is an Instagram based problem, but while I was fiddling with
installing Chromium via ".deb" package as per one of Chris' links, I had
the same problem with Gdebi when I tried to "open the file" . . . got the
blank window . . . when I right-clicked??? can't remember, "install with
Gdebi" . . . GDebi ran the install.

Busy day today, so I won't have time to try to figure out where the snap
folders are to try to move my photos over to it . . . I did again try FF to
do the same task and so far, it t'ain't woikin' to do that as it used to do
with Chromium/Chrome . . . .
