Julien,

Recently you stated that to install LXQt on Ubuntu, to install the lxqt
metapackage, and that Lubuntu with LXQt just doesn't exist yet. I guess
my metapackage was to provide the Lubuntu look to LXQt, but it got me
thinking. Would you be willing to concentrate efforts? I (already)
currently run Yakkety Yak, also known as 16.10, and I think making a
central Lubuntu metapackage for LXQt in the Ubuntu repositories would be
very beneficial. It could use the lxqt metapackage from Debian to
provide a base LXQt installation, to concentrate efforts there, then add
the Lubuntu artwork, which looks beautiful under LXQt by the way, and
top it off with some default customizations such as the artwork. So
would you like to share code and work to make one package?

I think this would be an essential piece to ensure is working so that
when we decide LXQt is ready enough, it's only a button away. I think
that's why we've been planning test cases and Phill was with making some
documentation, which, although it seems a little early, if we keep it
updated, it's an important first step to at least have laid out and
ready to deploy. My point here is, if LXQt isn't ready to ship, why
can't *we* be ready?

Let me know your thoughts on this.
