It is not affecting Xenial i386, which I installed earlier today from
the current daily iso file. I think I can check Xenial amd64 and Trusty
within a day or two.

No it was not present in Yakkety Alpha 1 amd64. (I checked now to be sure.)

This remains to be done, and I cannot do it, at least not in the near
