Yes!  Thank you very much.

There's a file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.local.conf that I removed.
Then I added snd-aoa-i2sbus to /etc/modules and rebooted.
Now sound works as well as alsammixer.  So this is a good work-around
for fixing the sound.

How do we get it added to the installation notes or PPC notes so we can
mark it resolved?
