I am an admin myself on a few Ubuntu mailing lists so I know what
amount of spam one has to face. But why not restrict it to subscribers
only? This helps a lot, and I don't really see why somebody not
subscribed should post here anyway. The few valid mails you might have
can be accepted by the admin in no time. Unless you have a valid
usecase for keeping this mailing list open to everybody...
