Let's imagine you're a new Ubuntu User who just clicked on "find people
near you" or "join in on the fun" link from somewhere else. You have no
idea what's going on in the Ubuntu Community or Open Source communities
at all.

Is the LoCo Directory mainpage the best we can do to inspire those new
visitors to "join in on the fun"?

I think we can do better. :)
