elitist monoglots, or anything like that; it is simple more useful to
have one language per list.

Even though I can understand [Castilian] Spanish, I believe the
majority of the people who receive these messages can't; for them,
every single message in Spanish is spam.

The thing is that if I want help in my own language, there are places
to ask for help in my language. For example, the ubuntu-es list, which
is specifically designate to help spanish speaking Ubuntu users.

And if I enter a list where the majority of the traffic is in a
language; how can it be that my first message be to ask them to stop
speaking that language?

What is useful about that to anybody?



Sobre un idioma común: No es que el idioma en particular es mejor en
alguna forma, o que el otro es malo, o que somos monoglotas ignorantes
y elitista, o nada así; simplemente es mas útil si hay un idioma por
lista.

Aunque yo te puedo entender Castellano, creo que la mayoría de la
gente que reciben estos mensajes no pueden; para ellos, cada
mensajecito en Castellano es spam.

La cosa es que si yo quiero ayuda en mi propio idioma, hay lugares
para solicitar ayuda en mi idioma. Por ejemplo, la lista ubuntu-es,
específicamente designada para asistir usuarios de Ubuntu
hispanohablante.

Y si yo me meto en una lista donde la mayoría del trafico esta en un
idioma, ¿como puede ser que mi primer mensaje es para a pedir que
dejen de hablar ese idioma?

¿Que utilidad tiene eso para cualquier persona?
