I don't have any answers but I have a similar situation. My speaker, called
iWorld, is paired but won't connect:
jerry at Laptop3:~$ bluetoothctl
[NEW] Controller 00:1A:7D:DA:71:13 Laptop3 [default]
[NEW] Device 30:21:C8:91:59:86 iWorld
Agent registered
[bluetooth]# list
Controller 00:1A:7D:DA:71:13 Laptop3 [default]
[bluetooth]# devices
Device 30:21:C8:91:59:86 iWorld
[bluetooth]# power on
Changing power on succeeded
[bluetooth]# list
Controller 00:1A:7D:DA:71:13 Laptop3 [default]
[bluetooth]# discoverable on
Changing discoverable on succeeded
[CHG] Device 30:21:C8:91:59:86 Connected: yes
[CHG] Device 30:21:C8:91:59:86 Connected: no
[bluetooth]#
The speaker connects in Windows so it's not the hardware.
