Cherrytree

Good evening
I have Cherrytree installed on a kubuntu 15.04 system,
but the software DOES NOT start.

I tried to remove it and then reinstall (takes forever!), but that does 
not change anything.
The same software works on Windows and other linux machines.
As far as I can tell, all other software on this particular kubuntu 
install work just fine.

(this does not belong here, but when saving Cherrytree file in 
synchronized folders like Dropbox,
these files are NOT included in the synchronization, while all other 
files are ...)

Is  there anything I can do about it?
