If you use a partition tool like gparted to clear out that partition so its 
just free space, I think the installer will see that ask to install there, 
provided that it is large enough.  

Gparted is a nice gui tool that is very easy to use to move/resize partitions.  
They even make a bootable iso image so you can work on your boot partition.
