set to rows...

Howdy,

I've created a folders on desktop (dashboard) and set icons to rows,
nothing happened - still column - any ideas ?

I don't want to see folders - if it's possible : How can I set them
(folders) to invisible and visible (mouse over) ?

So far using Kubuntu for few weeks... I like it, it is pretty fast and
stable - have an issue when shut.down ; it doesn't shut.down, it shows the
Kubuntu logo and wait (left it like this for 10min) - I had to do few times
ctrl+alt+delete and then it shut.down.

Overall, it is stable and pretty good, will use it in all my computer (5+)
& my dissertation research --- GooD JoB !
