As a general rule I find Kubuntu extremely usable. I will admit that
there have been occasions when it was maybe not so much, such as when
KDE4 was first used and, from what I read here, Plasma5.

I'm just an average home computer user. The kind that generally runs
Windows. When I install I just answer the questions and let the
installer do it's thing. I think one thing that does help is that I only
buy computers with AMD processors, thus Radeon graphics. Another is that
I only use the LTS versions, 14.04 right now. I don't even upgrade the
LTS version for three or four months after release. I don't fiddle with
the system. [ I don't know how *<]:oD ]

I know that others use their computers differently. Some like to play.
Others have other needs. But, for me, Kubuntu just works.

My biggest issue is third party software. Whoever is working on it gets
tired of working n it and quits. I've gotten where I rely on it and it
gets left behind in the upgrades. But, that's not an issue for this forum.

Cats are tiny little women in fur coats.

When you get all full of yourself try giving orders to a cat.
