It tells me that the package kphotoalbum version 4.4-2buiild2 is is installed
already, but the version from dominik-stadler ppa, 4.6.2, is asking for
packages that do not exist in any your repo or ppas.

Just tested this using a vm of 14.04, with the kubuntu-backports ppa added,
and I get the same errors

However, this is easily fixed.

use ppa-purge to remove the ppa, which I am guessing you got from ther
kphotoalbum website, and add the kubuntu-backports ppa, if you haven't
already, for the latest stable KDE 4 packages

$ sudo ppa-purge ppa:dominik-stadler/dsta-trusty-ppa
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dominik-stadler/ppa
 then update followed by a dist-upgrade, and it should all work.

We are replacing the trusty-specific ppa which seems broken, with his normal
repo - kphotoalbum was updated 35 hours ago, probably he mis-configured the
package,
