Have you folks looked at Pale Moon? Runs on Windows and Linux, and, I 
think, Mac.
Looks like and works like classic Firefox. I have it on Windows 8.1 and 
PCLinuxOS-32 KDE,
and I'm going to install it on PCLOS-64, on which it is supposed to work 
also.
Even most of the FF plug-ins work.
