I didn't say it needed to be "minimalist". I said the devs should keep 
K. I. S. S.  in mind.  Be aware of unnecessary code bloat and utilities 
that require huge amounts of clock time and resources.

My main computers at home are quad core 12 and 16 gig memory. My main 
laptop is a dual core with 4 gigs, not a power house but still.
