Why Does 14.04 Hate AMD?

Well, 14.04 seems to like my AMD Sempron 2000+
even less, as it won't even let it boot, whether
it's a download upgrade or a install disk.
I think we need to get everyone together and
shake our collective fingers at the developers,
while chanting, "Shame on you!! Shame on you!!",
over and over again.....:-)
