driver manager hangs

Trusty Tahr with all current updates.

One of my machines hangs when starting System Settings / Driver Manager 
(left window open for 15 minutes). Intel i7-2600, 16G, video card is 
reported by lshw as "GK208 [GeForce GT 630 Rev. 2]".

No broken packages are reported; nouveau is installed, no nvidia 
packages are installed; lsmod shows nouveau loaded.

Anybody else seeing this? Where can I find a log file?
