First of all you are at the wrong directory. In recovery mode you are 
user root and therefore you should first cd to /home/<yourlogin> and 
rename the .kde directoy there. But before you can rename the directory, 
you should remount your file system rw with a command like this:

mount -oremount,rw /

After that you can write to the disk without changing any permissions.
