Problems with BlueGriffon after an update? This is how I solved them.

Dear Everybody,

Today a new version of BlueGriffon came in from the GetDeb repo: version
1.7.1. The update went smoothly. But another little problem popped up. When
trying to start the package, I got the following error report:

========================================
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://bluegriffon/content/xul/bluegriffon.xul
Line Number 63,

Column 1:<window ^
============================================

After a bit of googling, trial and error, I found out the following
solution.

I opened a terminal and i carried out the command "sudo mc". "mc" means
"midnight commander" - an extremely useful package which you need to
install if you do not have it. Midnight Commander is a package which helps
you to find you way on your computer, to copy or delete files, to change
permissions, etc. By carrying out "sudo mc", you get the possibility to
carry out work for which you need to be root, which is necessary in this
case. I went to the folder "/home/bas/.disruptive innovations sarl" - which
is the userprofile of BlueGriffon. Delete this folder - all together,
recursively.
Now, quickly carry out two other actions.
First, quit midnight commander, via F10 or fn-F10, but STAY IN THE COMMAND
LINE.
Secondly, give in the command "sudo reboot".

After rebooting, I start again the system. After finishing the system, i
star again BlueGriffon. Now, it works quite well. The same user profile
folder has been made again - but now, it is OK.

Respectfully yours,

Bas G. Roufs.
