I had to back off 13.04 due to the kernel suddenly not supporting
vgaswitcheroo properly and this meant I could not get my hybrid
AMD/Intel graphics working properly. Which meant hideously long first
login, a weird looking desktop and freezes. By logging out and back in
again it would work reasonably well though.

Also apparently the broadcom drivers are botched, could not add any new
wireless configurations to the existing.

My "cure" was to return to 12.10, others suggested up- or downgrading
kernel and so on.
