Bizarre problems with Kontact at a fresh install of Kubuntu 12.10.

I dimly recall having a similar problem when I migrated to KDEPIM2 once 
and as I recall it only solution was to create a new user and start all 
over, getting the "Local Folders" problem sorted right from the start.

There might be other solutions though...
