Thanks for the URL.

Read it. Nothing there which I don't already have in 4.7.4 (except for 
the kmail thingie, which as I said I don't use, and akonadi, which I 
always switch off) but for someone who may not have used anything later 
than 4.6 v4.8 would certainly be a great improvement.

Now I am starting to think whether KDE has now finally reached its end 
of development.......v.8 is only a bug fix for 4.7.4 really; and what 
will 4.9 be?
