Since you want non-developer Members to apply, that gives me the
courage to put my name in the hat. For those of you whom I have not
met, I've been a Kubuntu Member since last October, and attended UDS-N
in Orlando. While there, I met many of the developers on the team, and
participated and learned as much as possible.
I help out in #kubuntu, although I'm not very technically inclined. I
help people find resources, though, and also write the Linux Grandma
blog about my adventures in FOSS.
This past month, I staffed a booth for the Washington State LoCo at
Linuxfest Northwest, promoting Kubuntu and Ubuntu, along with the
Ubuntu-Women project. I had my little netbook running Kubuntu 11.04
with the Netbook interface, and let people play with it. We had a
larger screen at the booth with Unity.
For the Oneiric cycle I hope to continue my on-going work, and also to
help David out with docs a bit. If you elect me as a Councillor, I
will do my best to do the research necessary, attend all meetings, and
vote on the issues before the Council in a fair manner.
