That's how I do it. I used to fear and loathe pulse and now I'm a pulse
fanboi. When it's working as it should, it does some amazing slick
things. Especially with USB audio... just plug whatever it is in, it's
detected and selectable, on the fly, without a whimper or a blooming
hand edit of some file, while waving a chicken foot. 

Pulse's biggest problem is that it was foisted off on people long before
it was ready for prime-time, like KDE 4.0 was. There were a lot of bad
feelings about it. I hated it with a passion. Now, to me, it's better
than anything Winders offers ... by a mile. Ric
