I can't make much sense of what you just said.
Are you having problems with the krandrtray?
What do you like to find where?
Are you using any 3rd party drivers like nVidia?

Sample here (this puts VGA1 on the left hand side of LVDS1 and sets
LVDS1 as primary, moving VGA1 to the right hand side is not much
different.
xrandr --output LVDS1 --primary
xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1440x900 --panning 1440x900+1024+0
xrandr --output VGA1  --mode 1024x768 --pos 0x0

It won't work with 3rd party nVidia. You need to use their own setup util.
