[lucid] audiocd:/MP3 is empty; how to fix?

From the comments from other people having problems with this, I just gave
up trying to get this to work and instead fired up my trusty hardy machine.
(FWIW, here that's the last version of Kubuntu that really worked well...
since then it's been some-steps-forward-some-steps-back with every
release). Anyway, that allowed me to rip the CD just fine.
It's hard to tell from the comments whether there's just one bug in the way
KDE accesses audio CDs or whether there are multiple bugs. Anyway, I'm
sort-of glad that at least some other people are seeing similar issues.

PS Filed as bug 255259 at b.k.o, although I expect it's a dupe (I did look
and didn't see an exact dupe, though).
