Thanks, I tried but the modem reports an error: in the kpp log console I see
ATZ
OK
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","datacard.tre.it"
ERROR

and it retries again with the same result.

I'm trying wvdial right now, but since it is my wife laptop, I'd like to have 
a more graphical interface....
