I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you get no noise? Or some
noise but not what you expect? Please clarify your symptoms.

Creative cards are usually well supported, so I'd expect your sound to work.
Try running "kmix". In your system tray in the panel you should see a
little icon of a speaker. Click that and then click the "mixer"
button. Play with the various settings and make sure that your volume
level is high and not muted.
