Lucid Desktop Usage Issues

Try creating a file on your desktop called trash.desktop and then pasting the 
following into it:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Trash
Name[en_GB]=Wastebin
Comment=Contains removed files
Icon=user-trash-full
EmptyIcon=user-trash
Type=Link
URL=trash:/
OnlyShowIn=KDE;

You may have to log out and back in for it to work.
