You can't bypass Akonadi altogether, e.g. that whole configuring
IMAP, etc. servers via Akonadi can't be done via the KDE-Resources
module. AFAICT that doesn't have any real effect as of yet, but it's
going to come.
Anyway, you can only configure kaddressbook, knotes and korganizer,
and you can't use them with google that way.
Also, the KDE-Resources module is only there for compatibility and
will eventually be dropped. So using it seems like a bad idea...
