Problem with Live CD Karmic 64bit

I have the BIOS set to 1st CD 2nd HDD 3rd Removable 4th disabled

I used K3b, but I have always used it and never made any special settings 
before.  I can't check that computer now; I can't get it opened that far.  
When the system was still working, just after downloading the CD, it would not 
open at Boot, so I tried to open it to see it's files.  It opened and displayed 
the content of the CD, so the computer must see it.  That is why I don't 
understand it not seeing it when booting.
