No plasma desktop nor panel after upgrade to KDE SC 4.4 beta 2

It seems that I needed to install kdebase-workspace as opposed to
kdebase-workspace-bin. Installing that (found it in Synaptic) fixed
the issue!

I have that resolved now, and that was not related.

No, I did not do that. I will see what that pulls in, though, thanks.
