No plasma desktop nor panel after upgrade to KDE SC 4.4 beta2

Assuming KDE SC 4.4 Beta2 here. There is no package for that yet as they are 
waiting for version 6. This should be ready by the time 4.4 is final in 
February iirc

You  can try using virtuoso 5.x if you try following this thread:
