Open Office upgrade??

OO 3.01 is quite far behind the current release, 3.2, so I'm not that surprised that the first response is to upgrade to 3.2 and try again ... Of course jaunty won't get an update so if you do wish to upgrade you will need to do this yourself.
The tarball you can get from the official OO site provides .deb (and .rpms) so installing them by hand is easy (and more importantly easy to undo later on). I've done this on other (non-ubuntu) systems that also ran old OO versions by default, and it works well. Alternatively there is probably a PPA repo somewhere for this.
