I attached the output of lshw.

Well, maybe cropped is the wrong word. I realised that I can move the  
mouse out of the right side of the screen, maximised programs are also  
larger than the desktop I can see. It seeme that the desktop has  
correct size but needs to be moved to the left ?!
Again, the resolution kubuntu has chosen is the one I need for my TV.
