is it Kubuntu or is it KDE?

I use to install ubuntu using ubuntu alternate cd (could be ubuntu 
desktop cd).

When that is installed and working (I now have gnome installed) I install 
following packages  using synaptic:

kde
kdebase
kde-standard
kdeadmin

After that I use KDE (and I have a variation of "kubuntu" running).

Now it is possible for me to make setup in both gnome and kde, sometimes 
when I google for at problem i find the answer how to make a setup in 
gnome, then I do that and then I go back to kde.

This has worked well for me for some years :-)
