Total kmail weirdness

Just as a comment I would go back to 4.4.x - the 4.5 in the ppa has some 
flaws that as I understand it might not be fixed until we come to 10.10. 
Actually I sometimes wish I would have stayed on 9.10 with 4.2 stable.
