Did a new install on a spare hard drive and not using Windows so the new GRUB
seems OK.

Have noticed that, keep having to close Kontact down and restart it to get
access to contacts.

Haven't tried that yet.

Not using Dolphin as I prefer Konqueror.
Some things I've noticed:
Can't use Freeguide as there is a problem with Manip bug 544522.
Mplayer and SMplayer report errors if I use vdpau.
