DVB isn't broken in Lucid - I'm watching DVB-T with my Lucid test
machine right now.

What is the problem with Kaffeine-KDE4?

Well, maybe the problem is your way of compiling from source or you need
an additional package to make your DVB hardware work with Lucid. To make
my DVB-T module work, I need the additional packages linux-firmware-
nonfree and kubuntu-restricted-extras.
I just installed as a test the Kaffeine-KDE3 version of Hardy and it
works without a problem. If you want to install the Hardy version, add
the line
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy main restricted
to your file "/etc/apt/sources.list". Well, maybe the "restricted"
repository isn't needed but I didn't check it. To downgrade the kaffeine
package to the Hardy version with synaptic you would reload and then
search for kaffeine and select the line of the kaffeine package. Then
use Package -> Force Version... and select the Hardy version. After you
installed that version you can lock it with Package -> Lock Version.
Sorry, I can't tell you how to achieve it with other package managers.
