Hi all,
I upgraded to the Lucid Beta after my previous install went weird (I
broke ALSA :p), and haven't been very impressed so far. However, all the
problems I have found I have found solutions for, except this one.
I've installed Kaffeine-KDE3 from source (all other media players,
including Kaffeine-KDE4, simply aren't good enough). However, the DVB is
refusing to tune. I know Kaffeine-KDE3 isn't supported or anything, but
from looking on the internet it seems like the sort of problem that
extends to all packages using DVB.
I've checked all my cabling, and the DVB was working perfectly literally
last night in the previous distro. I've also tried copying my old
Kaffeine config files.
Basically, it refuses to tune into any channels or pick up any channels
in a scan. The full debug output on the command-line I get is:
muzer at muzer-desktop:~$ kaffeine
kbuildsycoca running...

Anyone got any ideas? (I'm just doing a system upgrade to see if it's a
bug in the kernel driver or something that's been fixed, but I'm not
holding out too much hope).
Thanks,
Muzer.
