I am running Version 8.4.94 on Ubuntu 8.10 without problems, and have been using this
product for years. I runs my old scanners, and does everything I want.
The latest version is 8.5.35. I haven't tried to install it on Ubuntu 9.X, though
I have the right licence to upgrade it.

What libraries does it claim are missing?
