Flashing the bios

With the Jetway Mini-ITX board I used to build my server I had to find a
floppy drive to boot FreeDOS. I think I probably used my Linux PC to copy the
flashing utility and the BIOS image onto the floppy, but it was a couple of
years back so memory of my method is now hazy.
With my desktop machine (ASUS board) it was easy peasy - just copy the BIOS
image onto a USB flash drive, get into the BIOS setup screens, insert the
flash drive and find the flashing utility.
As somebody else said, it's reassuring to have a UPS whilst flashing the BIOS,
but I think mainboards like mine generally have recovery facilities so you
can fix it if it goes wrong.
